Both of the latest issues of Soap Opera Digest have included a Manny question in their “Ask Us” section.

Soap Opera Digest November 15, 2011

Q. On Guiding Light in 1998, Bethany Joy Galeotti played Michelle, but then about five years ago, she was a teenager on One Tree Hill? How can that be? Wouldn’t she be around 30 years old now? Any help you can provide in clearing this matter would be great. Thanks.  A.F., Macunie, PA

A. Bethany Joy Galeotti (nee Lenz) who was born in 1981, did indeed portray GL’s lovable Michelle Bauer from 1998-2000. The actress was 17 when she joined the soap’s cast. Three years after she left daytime, when she was 22, she went on to play One Tree Hill‘s then-high schooler Haley, a role that she still portrays today. She is now 30 years old. the ninth and final season of OTH is set to premiere in spring of 2012 for 13 episodes.

This answer also includes a photo of Danny and Michelle at Casa Santos during the early fake marriage, but sadly cuts off part of Paul Anthony Stewart‘s face in the crease.

Q. Was Adrienne Frantz (Amber Moore, The Bold and the Beautiful) ever on Guiding Light? I seem to remember her playing Reva’s clone when the clone was a teen. G.T., via the Internet

A. No, Frantz has never been on GL, She played Susnset Beach‘s Tiffany in 1997, then joined The Bold and the Beautiful as Amber later that year. She crossed over as Amber to The Young and the Restless from 2006-2010. Last year, she returned to B&B.  In 1998, Reva’s clone as a teen was played by One Tree Hill‘s Bethany Joy Galeotti  (Haley), who at the time, went by Joie Lenz. For the part, Galeotti dyed her hair blonde and wore blue contacts – and we agree that she does resemble Franz with the changes. Galeotti then played GL’s Michelle from 1998-2000.
