The February 24, 2014 issue of Soap Opera Digest includes a photo round up of characters who left soaps in pairs during the month of February including a photo from Phillip Spaulding and Beth Raines Spaulding 1991 Valentine’s Day Wedding.
The May 12, 2014 issue of Soap Opera Digest featured an article looking back at 1997. It gives highlights of story and casting for all the soaps, including Guiding Light. In addition it gives this behind the scenes notice “GL marked its 60th anniversary (from its radio debut) on January 25 and its 45th TV anniversary on June 30. Paul Rauch succeeded Michael Laibson as executive producer: Michael Conforti, Victor Miller, and Nancy Williams Watt were out as head writers, replaced by The City‘s James Harmon Brown and Barbara Esensten.”
The June 2, 2014 issue of CBS Soaps in Depth did a 10 years ago flashback article featuring Tammy Winslow trying to decide whether she should go all the way with Joey Lupo. They also did a round up of famous summer storylines, including the famous first Four Musketeers summer storyline with photos.
Rebecca Budig (Michelle Bauer #3, part of the Messe pairing) announced she is pregnant by her current husband Michael Benson. Read more and see a photo in the June 2, 2014 issue of CBS Soaps in Depth.
Daniel Cosgrove (Bill Lewis #4, part of the wonderful Bizzie pairing) announced they’ve named the animal shelter in Branford, Connecticut after his grandfather Daniel Cosgrove I for his work with the clinic since retirement. Victoria Platt (Vicky Spaulding, Alan and Alex’s half-sister Victoria Spaulding’s daughter, from Brandon’s island marriage after he had died on screen once) is married in real life to Terrell Tilford (David Grant #3, brother to Gilly, son of hospital administrator Charles, friend to Bridget, coupled with Vicky Spaulding). Hayden Panettiere (Lizzie Spaulding #2, the little girl who survived cancer and killed Beth’s abusive boyfriend) got positive reviews all around (except from me) in the Style Squad roundup in the December 2, 2013 issue of Soap Opera Digest.
Emme Rylan (previously credited as Marcy Rylan) (Lizzie Spaulding Lewis #6, part of the wonderful Bizzie pairing) was featured in an interview about her The Young and the Restless and General Hospital switch in the October 10, 2011 issue of CBS Soaps in Depth.
There is a photo of her at work with her 2 year old son Levi in the February 24, 2014 issue of Soap Opera Digest.
Lauren C. Mayhew (Marah Lewis #4 – her recast scuttled the somewhat interesting crush on inappropriately aged Jesse Blue. Her most memorable storyline she partnered with Brittany Snow‘s Susan right before the Nursery Rhyme Stalker mass kidnapping) was featured in the interview in the Oct. 10, 2011 issue of CBS Soaps in Depth. Besides continuing her acting career, she has released singles like “Look Inside” on iTunes, and served as WWE ring announcer. Her web series Breakfast Burrito is no longer active.
Terrell Tilford (David Grant #3, brother to Gilly, son of hospital administrator Charles, friend to Bridget, coupled with Vicky Spaulding) has been cast on The Young and the Restless as Barton, the so far never seen sudden husband to Leslie Michaelson. Ian Ziering (Cameron Stewart, one of the original Dinah, Alan-Michael, and Harley quad) participated in the 5th Annual Motorcycle Awareness Ride on Long Island. See a photo in the June 2, 2014 issue of CBS Soaps in Depth.

Karla Mosley (Christina Boudreau, with Remy, one of the last really good new couples in the final years of Guiding Light) gave her Star Style suggestions in the February 24, 2014 issue of Soap Opera Digest. Kassie DePaiva (Chelsea Reardon, Maureen and Nola’s little sister) when faced with her favorite gym closing, rounded up a bunch of her soap friends to buy it instead, check out a photo shoot/tour of Solid in Palm Springs, California in the June 2, 2014 issue of CBS Soaps in Depth.

Roger Howarth (Jory) was the subject of a feature interview in the December 2, 2013 issue of Soap Opera Digest. The article includes photos of him with Paul Anthony Stewart (Danny Santos) and Laura Wright (Cassie Layne Winslow) who overlapped with him on Loving.
Grant Aleksander (Phillip Spaulding #2, the one we knew most of the time) joined a bunch of other soap stars the day after his 53rd birthday to tape on location at Blondie’s on Manhattan’s Upper West Side for the online soap Tainted Dreams.
