The update is complete. Unless I have another big update, I won’t mention it on the blog or at the top of the pages, so watch the “Last Updated” dates at the bottom of each page. I think I have found all the dead links now so let me know if you find one. Unfortunately a couple of posts on the Stenzmania board have become unstable. I’m still hoping that they straighten out, but if they don’t I’ll have to pull them. Some of the Internet Archive sites are unstable and you might have to try again or follow the directions I gave in the post below.

Please let me know if you find any errors or problems, you can e-mail me at:

I’m looking for any Manny fanfic I don’t already had, but there are a few I’m especially looking for. I’ve listed them in the message below.

These are all stories from alternative universe stories.

“An Aberration” – A depiction of Manny’s first Justice of the Peace wedding with a rather violent, but not very explicit consummation in a truck stop hotel room afterwards.

“Affliction – Fear of Life – Reborn” After they are really together, Danny dumps Michelle for another woman. It destroys her. (Part 1) (Part 2) (Part 3)

“Aftermath” – A dark version of what happens after the “Angel of Mine” dance where Danny is lost in darkness at Michelle’s betrayal and then Michelle receives a brain injury that strips away even further her idea of normal, but she never loses her love for Danny.

“Against the Odds” – Michelle stops Danny from leaving on their wedding night and they make love, but afterwards Danny misinterprets her words and thinks he’s coerced her into his bed and leaves before he can make it worse or she can explain. 😉 (Part 1) (Part 2)

“All Alone” During their separation over Danny’s guilt over killing Carmen, Daniel Raymond Santos (born instead of Robbie) has an even more exciting birth than the real thing. Danny gets jealous over Ben  and Michelle fights with Abuela and then gives birth.
“And it’s Crowded and Cold” – After their divorce and some time apart, Danny and Michelle run into each other at a special art show Jesse is hosting in Springfield.

“My Angel” – Ed married Claire when she got pregnant with Michelle and they still are together, if not terribly happy. Michelle is just about to graduate high school where one of her best friends is Pilar Santos. One day she meets Danny, Pilar’s older brother and a terrible playboy, whose mother and grandmother want to get married and start producing heirs. When he meets Michelle that suddenly doesn’t seem like such a bad thing. When Pilar encourages Michelle to use Danny’s shower instead of hers, she walks in on a very interesting scene, just why was he moaning and saying her name she wondered, was he hurt? 😉 (Chapter 1) (Chapter 2) (Chapter 3) (Chapter 4) (Chapter 5)

“Another Man’s Wife” – Politician Ed Bauer sold his daughter in marriage to mob boss Vinnie Casteel when he needed his help to save his political career. Discovering her husband cared nothing for her about 6 months into the marriage drives Michelle into an alcoholic haze, but when a rash decision to stake a claim back to controlling her life leads to a chance encounter with Danny Santos will Miguel’s strict orders to stay away from her to obey the family code and the danger disobeying it will bring both of them be enough to stop their love? 😉 (Ch 1-53)
Also available on this board (Some Chapters also available on this board) (Chapter 7) (Chapter 8) (Chapter 11) (Chapter 12) (Chapter 15) (Chapter 16) (Chapter 21) (Chapter 23) (Chapter 24) (Chapter 25) (Ch 25-26) (Chapter 39) (Chapter 40)

“At Last” (1 of 2 with this name) – A different version of what happens the day after Danny rescued Michelle from the Psych Ward and he takes her to renew their vows. (Part 1)

“At Last” (1 of 2 with this name) – Danny and Michelle celebrate their anniversary sometime after wedding number 4. Danny surprises Michelle with a trip down memory lane at Millennium.

“Baby Fic” – I realized finally that what I had taken to be different stories are really one. Manny have a baby and an incredibly cute story. (Chapter 4) (Chapter 5) (Chapter 6)

“Back at the Beginning” Danny and Michelle marry in a double vow renewal with Mindy Lewis and Mick Santos, much to Carmen’s dismay. (Chapter 2B) (Chapter 3) (Chapter 4) (Chapter 5) (Chapter 7) (Chapter 8) (Chapter 9)

“Bad Day” – Michelle has one piece of bad luck after another, but then she finds Danny’s note and she knows a day with him in her life can’t be anything, but great.

“Bauer’s Fourth of July BBQ” – An alternative version of Bauer BBQ 1999 where Manny attends. It offers interesting views on the people who attended, including some pretty funny commentary on what they are wearing. There is also some pretty funny stuff of Michelle trying to get Danny alone in her bedroom and even a recipe of Dannys – a cookie Michelle devised off a recipe that Aunt Meta gave her. 😉 (Part 1) (Part 2)

“Beauty and the Beast” – The bad links in this are killing me. This time the Manny marriage is slowly building. They are discovering new things about each other, getting into trouble trying to surprise each other and taking intimacy slow. Carmen is still determined to get rid of Michelle though. What will she try next? (Chapter 11) (Chapter 12) (Chapter 19)

“Because of You” – Danny hears Mick planning to kill Michelle and while he doesn’t know her he can’t let that happen. He doesn’t understand the depth of Mick’s obsession and they need to be on the run for weeks. Eventually Mick catches up with them and shoots Danny, but not realizing Michelle is still there, leaves her to save Danny’s life. Afterwards they confess their love for each other and decide due to the circumstances they need to marry quickly. They return home and while Carmen doesn’t like Michelle, they are living in a truce. Mick makes his move one day and Carmen is forced to shoot Mick to save Michelle and her and Danny’s unborn child. 😉

“Before and After” – Manny meet and keep their relationship a secret, story proceeds in parallel with the past and the present playing out in each chapter 😉

“Being Stalked” – Drew stalks Michelle after Danny buys Michelle a new house. (For some reason, it’s white text on a white background, highlight to read it.)

“Being Thankful” – During the great 2001 Thanksgiving (about their happiest), Danny and Michelle work on Meta’s request to write down what they are thankful for.

“Ben Warren Gets Taken For a Ride By Aunt Meta” – Ben takes an interesting cab ride driven by the old broad (believe me in this story, she deserves the term).

“Better Late Than Never” – Ben Warren really murdered Mick. (Chapter 2) (Chapter 3)

“Black and Blue Secret” – Michelle holds a press conference about the welt Ed’s slap caused during Danny’s campaign for mayor.

“Black Cloud Rain”Coming back from their San Cristobel honeymoon, Michelle and Danny discover a little girl left at the lighthouse. They adopt her and raise her as their own. They are very happy for a while, but then someone from her previous life comes back and it costs Manny their lives to defend their little girl.

“Black Magic” – A Cassie/Ray fanfic. They had an affair. Sorry I can’t stand Cassie and couldn’t go on once I realized it was about her and taking her seriously.

“Blind” – Danny’s thoughts as he takes Michelle to the emergency room when she fakes her blindness.

“Body and Soul” – During Danny’s investigation of the shooting at Carmen’s house, he and Michelle steal a few days together in San Cristobel. Carmen’s plane goes down and it turns out Danny has a mysterious benefactor, his true father Prince Richard.

“Brothers” – When Selena Davis leaves Springfield, she goes to visit Miguel Jr., tells him about his family mob connection, and its possible threat to his safety. He goes to Springfield undercover and observes his “new family” and seems to be showing an unhealthy interest in Michelle. Tony is helping Abuela, not understanding what a threat she is and Danny is still staying away from Michelle during her pregnancy with Robbie over his guilt in killing Carmen. (Chapter 1) (Chapter 4) (Chapter 5) (Chapter 6) (Chapter 7)

“Buon Giorno, My Love” – During the perfect storm of problems that attack Manny shortly after Robbie’s birth, Danny sends Michelle to stay with some old friends from Italy. Robbie is instead called TJ and Robbie and Federico are minor characters who are friends of Tony’s. May/Mary is slightly insane. Gus really is Miguel Jr., but he’s not out for revenge, he’s been taught that La familia es segrada and he’s helping Manny discretely. Followed by “Unfinished Business”.

“By His Side” – Danny meets Michelle as he is finishing college and his father is working on legitimatizing the “family business.” She was walking to her car late one night when a stalker grabbed her and tried to rape her. Danny accidentally came across the attack and scared the guy off before he could finish the job, but she was still mentally affected (like Abby was from Roy’s attack). Danny couldn’t believe anyone would hurt such a beautiful creature and he stood by her all through rape counseling sessions. Then he had to deal with some last threats from his old life and just when it looked like things were going to all work out her stalker returns and cuts the brakes on Danny’s car and that’s just step 1 of his plan. This is an evil Bill story. 😉

“Carmen” – Carmen remembers her affair with Roberto, Danny’s real father.

“Challenge Fic: Defining Moments” – Danny gives a speech about the glorious life he had with Michelle since he first met her in elementary school. Their relationship really started when as a fourth grader he saved second grader Michelle from a bully. (Each chapter is confusing labeled as to title, but they are numbered consecutively and clearly part of the same story.) 😉 (Part 1) (Part 2) (Part 3) (Part 4) (Epilogue) (Who Wrote What Chapter)

“Chance Encounter” – With things in Springfield not going her way, Michelle signs up to be a foreign exchange student in Spain with a wealthy family. She strikes up a conversation with the man who was sitting beside her on the international flight, who had been drinking to face what was waiting for him in Spain, but soon seems much more intoxicated by her. It turns out that his is the family she’ll be staying with. Danny is being pressured by an old family deal to marry Theresa, but Carmen and Maria want him happy and with a young, strong wife who can give him many heirs. They do everything in their power to push the young people together and it doesn’t take much (does it ever?) for them to be hopelessly in love.  However, even though Theresa doesn’t want to be stuck in a loveless married either, she doesn’t want to lose. Will her revelation to Michelle about the true nature of Danny’s “family business” break up Manny forever?

“Changes” – This is an incredibly cute version of Robbie’s first Bauer BBQ, with a threat looming from some annoying old friend of Michelle’s named Joe. How dare he knock on the bedroom door right then? I hate him already. (Chapter 1) (Chapter 2)

“Cheap Whiskey” – Drew and Ray are having problems after he left the priesthood for her. There are two versions. Unfortunately we only still have access to one. The other one had a happy ending.

“Choose Me” – Roy Meecham hired Mick to kill Abby and he staking out the house. Then Mick sees Danny leave and investigating further he saw that Michelle was living in the garage apartment and he realizes she’s a Bauer. He’s been falling for Michelle, now what will Mick do? Michelle and Danny had a wonderful date, but when Danny wants to take things further Michelle tells him as much as she wants that, she doesn’t see how she can while he’s in the mob.

“Coming Home” (1 of 3 with this name) – Manny has their first baby, Joie, and bring her home from the hospital. Really part of Baby Fic. (Chapter 5)

“Coming Home” (1 of 3 with this name) – Danny left for California after asking Michelle to change Robbie’s last name for Bauer, but when Tony is in bad shape after a car accident he returns to Springfield. He discovers that Michelle is married to Bill Lewis, but doesn’t love him and that she had Danny’s daughter after he left. This involves most of the characters in the Manny storyline coming home. Chapter 1 Chapter 2 Chapter 3 Chapter 4 Chapter 5 Chapter 6 Chapter 7 Chapter 8 Chapter 9 Chapter 10 Chapter 11 Chapter 12 Chapter 13 Chapter 14 Chapter 15 Chapter 16 Chapter 17 Chapter 18 Chapter 19 Chapter 20 Chapter 21 Chapter 22 Chapter 23 Chapter 24 Chapter 25 Chapter 26 Chapter 27

“Could Not Ask for More” – Another take on what happened in their bedroom after Danny rescued Michelle from the Psych Ward.

“The Crush” – This is a strange one where they both seem kind of psychotic. Michelle is harassing Danny, playing a game she calls Seduce and Destroy, and he responds by ordering a hit on her while she is pregnant with his child. The early chapters I found for the update make it a little clearer what’s going on, but I still say they are acting psycho. (Chapter 1) (Chapter 2) (Chapter 3) (Chapter 4) (Chapter 4) (Chapter 5) (Chapter 6) (Chapter 7)

“Daddy, What’s the Mafeea?” – This is a great little fanfic where Robbie learns a new word from James and Zach Spaulding and Danny has to explain it to him.

“Dark Knight” aka “Dark Night” – Michelle witnesses Ben Warren kill Mick and then he tracks her down and threatens her, which frightens her to the point that she get addicted to pain medication. Danny meets her, feels the connection, but also sees the signs of drug addiction that he so recently saw develop in Mick. He helps her kick the habit and then takes her to San Cristobel and marries her to keep her safe while he gathers enough evidence to deal with Ben. The second half uses the imagery of knights and ladies heavily. The scene where Rick calls Danny Sir Galahad is worth reading the whole thing for. (Chapter 12) (Chapter 22)

“Dark Side” –After 5 years Danny tells Michelle it’s over because he feels Michelle never accepted him and he’s found someone who does. The news makes Michelle feel dead and when he confirms he really means it. She shoots him dead.

“Dead Men Don’t Eat Moo Goo Gai Pan” – The Mannifield Players do a hilarious take on the most famous episode of The Bob Newhart Show.

“Desecration” – It turns out Mick was really killed by his wife and Danny knew it all along. Also includes quote from head writer about Mick’s “real killer.”

“Destiny” (1 of 2 with this name) – Michelle’s jealousy of Cassie kicks in faster and harder and they get back together, but decide to pretend to stay apart for awhile to avoid the opposition that will surely rise as they get back together. Then Michelle is injured and Bill blames Danny saying he must have attacked her. (Ch 1) (Ch 2) (Ch 3) (Ch 4) (Ch 5)

“A Different Twist on an Untouched Glass” aka “Different Twist” – Danny and Michelle are living happily in their Laurel Falls house when a bump on the head temporarily wipes out Michelle’s memory back to when she was 12, shortly before Maureen died. She’s shocked to wake up and discover she is now the possessor of a fully grown body and a husband she doesn’t recognize in her mind, but she still feels the connected to in her body and her heart. Slowly her memory comes back as if she’s watching a movie and somehow living in fast forward. They start to fall in love again, but Danny knows what horrors she has yet to remember, will they be able to get past them a second time? Another one that was very good and I’m sorry it was not completed. 😉 (Ch 1-16) (Ch 1-2) (Ch 3-4) (Ch 5-6) (Chapter 19-20) (Chapter 20b)

« Dinner and a Movie » – Following up on her suggestion they date, Michelle puts together a very special first date for her and Danny.

“Discretions” – Based on a screen capture showing Mick wearing a wedding ring, in this story Danny really killed Mick later that night while Mick was attacking Mick’s wife. (Like Danny would do that to Michelle, let her live with the guilt over having taken his brother away from him and not tell her.)

“Diversions” – Danny wants to re-do a warehouse for their new house. Click on Titles

“Dreams” (1 of 2 with this name) – When Michelle’s betrayal of Danny to the FBI doesn’t happen, they tentatively and slowly reach out for each other. However, they are keeping secrets. Michelle won’t tell Danny that Nino has been threatening her to keep him safe from a confrontation. Danny doesn’t tell Michelle about his plans to build them a legitimate business escape. Secrets never end well for these two.

“Dreams” – (1 of 2 with this name) Danny sends Michelle an e-mail while he’s still consumed with guilt from killing Carmen telling her she’s gotten to him at last. This is a beautifully written stand alone.

“Dreams/Fuzzy/Mine” – a series of dreams based on Phoenix, a Drew/Ray fanfic. 😉 (Part 1) (Part 2) (Part 3)

“End is the Beginning” – Manny is back together after various stresses had caused a separation, but they found it too hard to live without each other. Michelle reveals she got pregnant the last time they were together before the separation. They have 3 ecstatic months of pregnancy together and then a car crash takes the baby. However, they deal with it and it only makes them a stronger couple and two years later another baby is on the way. (Chapter 2) (Chapter 3) (Chapter 4 – Epilogue)

“Endgame” – After he discovers his mother’s continued schemes to keep him in the business and hurt Michelle, Danny goes to the Bauer house to pick her up where Michelle was staying until it was safe for them to be together. He intends to take them out of the country. Michelle runs back in to leave a note and the house explodes. But, unknown to Danny, Michelle had been kidnapped before the house blew up. Now she was trapped. In the Dark. In Mick’s care. She’s being held by Ray’s father, Dante, who wants to use her disappearance to get Danny to kill Carmen to get his complete revenge on her. Dante who is identical to Danny in appearance and voice, only 20 years older, and is Danny’s real father, too. (Ch 1-2) (Chapter 3) (Chapter 4) (Chapter 5) (Chapter 6) (Chapter 7) (Chapter 8) (Chapter 9) (Chapter 10) (Chapter 11) (Chapter 12) (Chapter 13) (Chapter 14) (Chapter 15) (Chapter 16) (Chapter 17)

“The Escape” – After Dietz is killed, Danny, Pilar, Michelle, and Bill go on the run. Carmen is struggling to regain control, but she doesn’t know just how hard it can be to win against true love.

“Eye of the Storm” – Danny tries to make the business legitimate, but is stopped when an ambush meant for him kills Rick and Dietz and seriously injures Michelle who retains no memory of the event. Danny is trying to protect her and their marriage from the truth, but his little Miss Nancy Drew is not about to be put off. (Chapter 2) (Chapter 3)

“Fair Winds and Following Seas” – Sequel to “Mob’s Cardinal” – Now having read Mob’s Cardinal. This one makes a lot more sense. It’s stories that fall in between the chapters of  “Mob’s Cardinal.”. 😉 (Ch 1) (Chapter 1)
(Chapter 2) (Chapter 3) (Chapter 4) (Chapter 5) (Chapter 6) (Chapter 7) (Chapter 8)

“Family Affair” – During Danny’s mayoral campaign, Manny go to Towers to make a speech leaving Robbie in the care of a babysitter. Then a scenario, eerily like the Lindbergh kidnapping, begins to play out. (Ch 1)

“Fever” – Michelle brings Robbie back from Africa over the summer while he is with Marina and develops a dangerous fever that brings him back to his senses. Or does it? (Part 1) (Part 2)

“Final Truth” – Michelle and Drew hit Mick, but did not kill him. Mick’s wife had the proof and now she is diagnosed with late stage breast cancer, she’s brought it and her and Mick’s son to Danny. She wants Manny to raise her and Mick’s child. They agree. Danny shows the tape and Theresa killed Mick because Bernard was going to insist she marry Mick and she wanted to marry Danny. At the end we flash forward a year and literally everyone is married, happy, and pregnant or with a newborn. (Chapter 2) (Chapter 3) (Chapter 4)

“Find My Heart” – During the perfect storm around Robbie’s birth, Michelle is kidnapped by Carlos and held captive 10 days. Tony finds out where she is and he and Danny ride to the rescue.

“Finding Love Again”Manny are back together, but not remarried. Michelle wants to be and Danny is keeping a birthday surprise from her. What will it be? Will keeping a secret finally work out well for them just once? 😉 (Chapter 12) (Chapter 14) (Chapter 15) (Chapter 16)

“My First FanFic : A Standalone” – Danny and Michelle reverse positions in their lives during the time Danny is staying away from Robbie and Michelle to protect them. Michelle killed mob boss Maureen to save Danny’s life after Rick’s death meant she had to take over as head of the family and now she thinks she has to stay away from Danny and Robbie to protect them.

“First Impressions” – Danny is an undercover FBI agent trying to help his brother Mick before he gets too lost, but Mick has other ideas and now both Danny and the med student he just met at Company, Michelle Bauer, are in danger. (Ch 1-38/Epilogue) (Ch 11-12) (Ch 13-14) (Ch 17-18  ) (Ch 19-20) (Ch 21-22) (Ch 23-24) (Ch 25-26) (Chapter 39)

“Forever” – In a twisted, dark version of the Manny story, Danny fell equally hard for a girl named Robin first. After promising him forever, she dumped him for Mick. Danny couldn’t live with that and finding Mick knocked out on the beach that night, finishes him off. Carmen still demands he takes revenge and when he realizes Michelle thinks she killed him, the story plays out like before, but with a Danny who doesn’t believe in promises of forever. It’s tied to a screen capture showing Mick wearing a wedding ring.

“Fresh Start” (1 of 2 with this name) – Manny and family are settling in nicely in California after they left Springfield for the last time, but Robbie’s nightmare makes them think maybe Carmen has found a way to haunt them once again. (Ch 1)

“Fresh Start” (1 of 2 with this name) – When Miguel and Pilar are killed in a plane crash, Danny needs to break free of the family business, so he buys Millennium. Almost as soon as they sign the papers, Drew calls Michelle over to tell her and she and Danny have an electric meeting. Dresse is moving to New York. The re-opening night goes really well, but just when it looks like it’s going to get even better (we know that Michelle is alone in the house and that Danny is on his way to return her purse), Mick shows up and kidnaps her on Carmen’s orders. It has an absolutely fantastic first dance scene. 😉 (Chapter 1) (Chapter 2) (Chapter 3) (Chapter 4) (Chapter 5) (Chapter 6)

“Friends” – After Carmen’s death, friends return to Springfield. Ben Reade returns to Springfield to find his ex-fiancé Pilar is dating his best friend Bill. Mike Bauer returns and brings along a friend, a transformed by plastic surgery Miguel Santos. Meanwhile Michelle goes into pre-mature labor and they have a daughter, but then a returned from the dead Carmen raises up to rid the Santos line of its Bauer contamination. (Chapter 2) (Chapter 3) (Chapter 5) (Chapter 9) (Chapter 10) (Chapter 20) (Chapter 22) (Chapter 23)

“Gaslight” – Carmen seems to be haunted by Miguel’s ghost, but is it real or is she being gaslighted like she did to Michelle. (Chapter 1) (Chapter 2) (Chapter 2) (Chapter 3) (Chapter 3) (Chapter 4) (Chapter 5)

“Give Her Back” – Manny is under some threat (I’m sure explained in chapters I don’t have) and Danny feels a need to send Michelle and their daughter Danielle away for safety. It’s only after she leaves that he finds a letter saying she’s pregnant. Michelle goes to their house in San Cristobel and then Pilar, Bill and I assume their kid Billy show up. Danielle misses her Daddy. (Chapter 6) (Chapter 7) (Chapter 8)

“Growing Pains” – A Manny fanfic with a focus on RaySantos and Marah Lewis. A rewrite of the mob history and Marah and Ray feel an undeniable connection despite his vows. (Chapter 4) (Chapter 5) (Chapter 7) (Chapter 8)

“Guess Who 5” – Manny have a mini-honeymoon on an island in Lake Springfield. Danny wants them to have their own place, so he’s built a cottage on the island. 😉

“Guess Who 8” – Michelle is catching up on her sleep during their honeymoon on the beach. Danny uses the time to make a sandcastle of their future home. (Scroll down or hit Control-F to find the title you want in this long message)

“Halloween Challenge Fic – Coincidence or Not” – Michelle is heading up a fundraiser where everyone is supposed to dress as a character out of a movie. Michelle’s choice is Sandy from Grease. Guess who just coincidentally dressed up as Danny from the same movie?

“He Grabbed Her Hand” – A slightly more intense version of the conversation that Michelle first shows she’s jealous of Cassie after divorce number 2.

“Hearts in Armor” aka “Hearts Alone” – When Miguel was murdered Danny wanted to avenge his father’s death, but Michelle begged him to walk away and he did. Until they started to threaten Michelle, then Danny began to agree to certain tasks to keep her safe, until they asked too much. Danny and Ray set up a fake hit to keep Danny alive and give Michelle the life Danny thinks she deserves. Danny creates a new identity for himself in Greece. When Michelle starts to date someone he gets worried and returns, but only to watch over her from the shadows until their daughter is kidnapped as part of a plan to smoke him out. He also discovers that his father faked his own death a few years before. (Chapter 1) (Chapter 2) (Chapter 3) (Chapter 6) (Chapter 7) (Chapter 9) (Chapter 10) (Chapter 11) (Chapter 11) (Chapter 12) (Chapter 13) (Chapter 14) (Chapter 15) (Chapter 16)

“Heart’s Desire” – Danny and Michelle have an interesting experience on a trip down south in a restored Southern Plantation. 😉 (Part 1) (Part 2) (Part 3)

“His Love for Her” – A slight variation on what happened the night Danny found out the truth about Mick’s death.

“Home” – Danny builds the Laurel Falls house after their second divorce and while she isn’t quite willing to re-marry Danny and makes him sleep in the spare room, they start putting their family back together. Some really cute Danny-Robbie scenes.

“The Honeymoon” aka “Promises Kept” – Michelle and Danny honeymoon in Barcelona. (Part 1) (Part 2)

“How Could You” – Danny was somehow married to Cassie, but he’s having an affair with Michelle and Michelle is having his baby. Danny says all those terrible things to Cassie that make a Mannyac’s heart sing (how dare Laura Wright lobby for the break up of Manny so she could work with Paul, she deserves it). I don’t have a symbol to warn about language, but if you have tender ears, avoid this one. (Ch 1-3)

“Hungry Thanksgiving” – A slight twist on the real Manny story where the Dresse connection is even more evident, sooner. The focus is an alternative version of the Thanksgiving where everyone showed up at Michelle’s Thanksgiving Dinner at Millennium. (Chapter 1) (Chapter 2) (Chapter 3)

“Hurt” – Michelle walks in on Jesse and Drew having sex on the couch. There’s a scene and they breakup, but soon after she decides it was for the best when she invites Danny over.

“I Don’t Have To Wonder” – When Michelle marries someone else, Danny commits suicide.

“I Saw Her” – Danny has a nightmare that Carmen will make him leave his family and Michelle will have to raise their two children on her own. (Chapter 1) (Chapter 3)

“I Should Tell” – A POV where Ray actually killed Mick.

“I Want to Be With You” – Former college sweethearts, Michelle and Danny had lost touch, but Michelle never forgot. Guess who she is about to run into in San Cristobel. (Chapter 1A)

“Illusions” – Ray is accused of murder and Manny defends him, but it turns out Carmen had corrupted him and he is actually guilty.

“I’ll Be” – Michelle has moved to New York City to attend med school. One day she sees Danny and the connection is instantaneous. By the third time they meet, she asks him to spend the night and he does. Bill Lewis calls to tell her Vanessa was in an accident (it isn’t true and why he does this is pretty weak, but I’ll forgive it because it sets up the best part of the story). Michelle decides she needs to fly home to Springfield and as they had just spent the night together (very little sleeping was involved) and Danny doesn’t want to let her go out of his sight, he offers to come along. The best part is that Jesse doesn’t get that they’ve broken up so Danny pretends to be “just a friend” for awhile with pretty hilarious results. Michelle gets sick the day she was going to ask Danny to move in and she finally realizes she’s pregnant. He’s ecstatic and pulls out the engagement ring he’s already bought her. Most of the rest of the story is mob related and doesn’t really track, but worth it for the “just a friend” scenes alone. (Chapter 1) (Chapter 23) (Chapter 24) (Chapter 25) (Chapter 26)

(Sorry we had 30 chapters, but Geocities took most of them including the great “Just a Friend Scenes”)

“I Do” – Danny’s thoughts during the Laurel Falls wedding.

“It was an awkward situation” – A little bit of humorous alternative Manny chaperoning Pilar and Bill who just can’t seem to get it together.

“It’s in the Way” – Michelle debates her feelings with herself about Danny and the FBI.

“Immortality” – When Michelle tells Danny she’s pregnant, he tells her he’s sorry, but their marriage is now over. He is going to divorce her and take their child to replace Mick. It was the deal he’d made with Carmen to save her life and as much as he loves her, he never forgave her for Mick’s death.

“Imperfect: a Love Story” – Danny discovers he has a daughter with Michelle named Zoey. (Chapter 1) (Chapter 2) (Chapter 3) (Chapter 4)

“Into Darkness” – Mick and Natalie were married and wanted children. Mick was infertile, but his male ego couldn’t take it so he bribed the doctor into telling Natalie she was the one with a problem. So Natalie talked her close friend Michelle into being a surrogate mother, using her own egg. Up against it and needing to produce a Santos heir, Mick talked Danny into making the sperm donation for him. Now they have died (guess that was chapter 1) anyway, there is danger and the only way Danny can guarantee Michelle and the baby’s safety is if she marries him and lets everyone think the baby was conceived the natural way. Michelle finally agrees and they are going to get married, but Michelle doesn’t really know what she’s getting into – yet. (Chapter 2) (Chapter 3) (Chapter 6) (Chapter 7)

« Jealousy » – Danny marries Michelle to save her life, but is still involved with Theresa. She has fallen in love with her husband and is determined to seduce him and make the marriage work.

“Jerry” – Upset over the recasting of Ray, original Ray goes on Jerry Springer where the fans take their revenge on TPTB.

“Journal” – Michelle is a young woman still in school (probably college, but doesn’t say). Maureen died as a result of finding out about Ed’s ongoing affair with… Carmen Santos. Michelle goes to confront the woman and first meets her two sons. (Chapter 1) (Chapter 2)

“Judgment Day” – (1 of 2 with this name) Carmen is holding Michelle hostage. She’s got Ed held somewhere and tells Michelle she will keep him until she is certain that Michelle is out of Danny’s life and has paid for what she’s done, but Ray has stumbled on to her plan. (Chapter 3) (Chapter 4) (Chapter 5A) (Chapter 5B)

“Judgment Day” – (1 of 2 with this name) Six months into the Manny marriage, Danny realizes they need to get away from Springfield. Manny moves to Eden under the control of another “family” and he and his Uncle Ty make plans for legitimitzing the business under Danny’s leadership. However, Carmen has gone even further off the deep end and now with Michelle about ready to give birth, they are afraid of what she will do. (Ch 1-4)

“Just a Little Lie” – Ray doesn’t tell Drew he’s a priest right away and agrees to help with the Jesse jealousy plan, but when he kisses her things get a little too real.

« Just Five Minutes Difference » – Danny was delayed chasing Michelle out of Millennium and Dietz “takes care of it.” He bungles the job and Danny finds a wounded Michelle whose life he saves. He nurses her back to health in the lighthouse as the sexual tension between them rises. Some pretty funny stuff with Dietz and Jesse as complete idiots, Carmen’s libido driven obsession with Ben and the boring side of mob business, plus Danny having to correct himself “The Boss” to “Mother.” Especially great is Michelle knowing that she couldn’t keep using the excuse that she only “accidentally” swings open the bathroom door when she misses the wall with her tennis ball when she knew Danny was getting into and out of the shower. (Part 1) (Part 2) (Part 3)

“The Letter” (1 of 2 with this name) – Manny’s happy home life with Robbie is interrupted when Danny gets a letter from Carmen in the state prison asking him to check up on Pilar because she is worried about her.

“Letters from the Heart” – Rick sends out letters to family and loved ones while he is waiting for his name to come up on the heart transplant recipients list. (Part 1) (Part 2) (Part 1) (Part 2)

« Letting Go » – I found the first chapter of this one so depressing I couldn’t go on. During her pregnancy with Robbie, Michelle gives up on Danny. I’ll try to come back and describe it later. (Ch 1-30)

Chapters also available on this board.
“Life Changes” – Chockablock full of references to things from the show, this story is set around the time of Rick’s heart transplant. Danny has built the Laurel Falls house and they move in. Michelle discovers she is pregnant with twin girls. At first Edmund is after Michelle because of Richard’s death, but he tried to blame it on Salerno which causes ripples through the other families and Danny must deal with it. Drew and Jesse move back to town and she’s pregnant. Bill and Pilar are married and she’s pregnant. However, almost all the action takes place between Danny and Michelle. (Chapter 1) (Chapter 2) (Chapter 3) (Chapter 4) (Chapter 5) (Chapter 6) (Chapter 7) (Chapter 8) (Chapter 9) (Chapter 10) (Chapter 11) (Chapter 12) (Chapter 13) (Chapter 14) (Chapter 15) (Chapter 16) (Chapter 17) (Chapter 18) (Chapter 19) (Chapter 20) (Chapter 21) (Chapter 22) (Chapter 23) (Chapter 24) (Chapter 25) (Chapter 26) (Chapter 27) (Chapter 28) (Chapter 29) (Chapter 30) (Chapter 31) (Chapter 32) (Chapter 33) (Chapter 34) (Chapter 35)

“Life Preserver” – Michelle is upset and at her mother’s grave asking her for guidance. She here’s someone equally upset in the Catholic cemetery next door. Guess who? She reaches out to Danny and they help each other.

“Lifelines” – Michelle walked away from Danny thinking for them both to be happy they had to lead separate lives. She finished med school and became an ER doctor in Chicago. Danny left the family and waged war on them for costing him Michelle, but she never knew. Now Danny has returned to her life with a bullet a breath away from his heart and it will take both sides of her, Dr. Bauer trauma specialist and Michelle the love of his life, to pull him through and then what? She’s regretted every second they’ve been apart. (Chapter 1) (Chapter 2) (Ch 3-4) (Ch 5-6) (Ch 7-8)

“A Little Game of Baseball” – Quite possibly the ultimate bit of inside baseball, you have to have read a lot of Manny fanfic to get these jokes, but they are great. Trust me.

“Living Without” – Michelle and Danny have been caught in a plot for 4 years. Each was made to think the other had deserted them and worse. When they finally find each other will the truth and their love be enough to straighten out the horrible mess their lives have become? This is the one where Danny tells their children the story of the Princess and the Bad Man. (Chapter 2) (Chapter 3) (Chapter 5) (Chapter 7) (Chapter 8) (Chapter 9) (Chapter 10) (Chapter 14) (Chapter 18) (Chapter 23) (Chapter 25) (Chapter 26) (Chapter 28) (Chapter 29) (Chapter 30)

“The Long Flight Home” – Michelle and Pilar make fast friends on a plane trip home from Spain to Springfield, but an attack on the Santos limo kills Pilar and leaves Michelle near death. Will Pilar’s spirit be able to keep Michelle holding on long enough to heal physically and for her to find her destiny and heal Danny’s soul? Click on Authors, then Tah (Chapter 1) (Ch 1-5) (Chapter 6)

“Long Way Home” – Manny is blissfully happy on their honeymoon when Michelle disappears one night. Danny thinks she’s dead, but really Mick abducted her. He’s held her prisoner for 10 months torturing her with stories of how Danny doesn’t want her anymore and denying her medical attention during her pregnancy and the birth of her and Danny’s daughter Rosie. Michelle finally makes a desperate effort to break free and get to Danny, but can she convince him the truth of her crazy sounding story and will they be able to save their daughter from Mick? (Chapter 1) (Ch 5-6) (Chapter 8) (Ch 10-11) (Chapter 15)

“The Lost Baby” – This is based on the suspicion of some fans that Claire put something in the milk she gave Michelle shortly before that brought about her first miscarriage. In this story, it is a deliberate plot. However, instead of drinking the milk, which Michelle thought smelled odd she poured it down the drain and doesn’t miscarry. Claire assumed it worked and she’d suffered a miscarriage and told her so, but Dr. Sedwick tells her she is still pregnant. Realizing she was set up, Danny and Michelle hide out for the rest of her pregnancy at Bert’s old house. (Part 1) (Part 2) (Part 3) (Part 4)

“Love and Lace” – Having failed to reach him in the park, Michelle tries to reach him again at Casa Santos and he tries to fight her. Soon he forgets why he ever wanted to. He’d left out the mantilla with their wedding photo and when she puts it back on she guides him to their true wedding night.

“Love Lost, Love Found” – Michelle is so desperate to get out of the Santos house that despite her growing feelings for Danny, she burns it down and fakes her own death. Her feelings will not be ignored for long and she goes back to face the music and try to get Danny for real. (Ch 7-8) (Ch 9-10) (Ch 11-12) (Ch 13-14) (Ch 19-20) (Ch 21-22) (Ch 25-26) (Ch 27-28) (Ch 29-30) (Ch 31-32) (Chapter 35)

“Love vs. Hate” – Michelle is a DA working with Ross on a big case investigating the Santos family, (specifically Mick for Theresa Sandoval’s murder) but Michelle’s interest in Danny is anything, but legal. 😉 (Chapter 8B) (Chapter 8c) (Chapter 9) (Chapter 10) (Chapter 11) (Chapter 12) (Chapter 13a)

“Loving Arms” – Michelle reflects on the mess she’s made of her life, after she confesses to Danny during the “Angel of Mine” dance.

“Made to Be Broken” – Ray’s effort to escape the “family business” with his wife, led him to take her to a village where it’s very remoteness led her death in a crisis. Ray returned home and joined the church.

“Make it a Blockbuster Night” – Manny are moving into a new house all their own and are in throes of unpacking when they come across a mysterious package. After getting distracted, and “who could really blame her,” by the edible paint and their big bed, Michelle puts in the tape that was inside and discover that it’s a tape of them together in their room at Casa Santos on the night of their church wedding. Who sent it and why? (I think maybe it was a bunch of Mannyacs – it sounds like a highlights edit tape.) (Chapter 1) (Chapter 2) (Chapter 3)

“Maker of the Soul” – An introspective look at Mick, the oldest son. An interesting take, but wrong on at least two counts. Danny mourned Mick everyday and Michelle mourned the taking of a life and the pain she had inflicted on her husband. Also, Danny’s life was as rotten and restricted as Mick’s if different. There was no Prodigal Son. Danny did his assigned soul killing duties too.

“Manny at the Country Club” – An alternative version of what happened during the Jeva wedding, instead of those 70 seconds.

“Manny Goes to Woodstock ‘99” – An interesting little farce. Manny, Ray, Pilar and Bill attend the famous concert. The high point is Danny buying his and Michelle’s exclusive use of the moon bounce for a couple of hours. I wonder how they will possibly pass the time.

“Magistrate” aka “No Way Out” –  Wish I had more chapters of this. Michelle is an undercover cop, Danny is with Teresa, but passes up the invitation to sleep with her to go hunt for Michelle who he had just met yesterday and can’t get out of his head. He shows up at her door with a bouquet of roses. The description of Reva is priceless. (Intro – Ch 1) (Chapter 2) (Chapter 3) (Ch 4-5)

“Marguerite” – A sad look at an old college romance of Danny’s.

“Matters of the Heart” – There is some danger. Danny stayed with Michelle all night, but he was gone, leaving Tony to guard her when she wakes up. When he comes back he announces it’s vital that they get married today. (Chapter 34)

“A Michelle (And Danny) Roadtrip” – Danny is up on charges for an old crime and although Michelle considers staying away, she moves heaven and earth to get there for him in time.

“Michelle’s Letter” – “Danny’s Letter” – “Isabelle’s Letter” – These three letters tell a story where Michelle marries again, but always loves Danny as is shown in their daughter. Unfortunately, Geocities took down two of the three letters.

“Mick” – The day of the attack we hear Mick’s thoughts. Drew and Michelle hit him over the head, but it doesn’t kill him. One of Carmen’s goons did it on orders from her, who was tired of putting up with all the problems Mick caused.

“Missing Danny” – An alternative drama about what was going on when Danny was faking his death.

“Mistaken Identity” (1 of 2 by this name) – Michelle goes into the witness protection program immediately after Mick’s death. At the same time Danny finds a way to break free of the mob and ends up with an uncle in the same town, Galveston, Texas. She trips at the door to a party and falls into his arms and the Manny magic takes off both electrifying and healing them both. A big part in this one for Ben Warren.;-)

“Mistaken Identity” (1 of 2 by this name) – Threats against Michelle drive Danny to fake his own death and enter the witness protection program. He becomes Alex Perez, Investment Consultant. However, fate intervenes and sends Michelle to once again cross his path. Followed by “Unforeseen Circumstances.” 😉

“Mob’s Cardinal”– Third time’s the charm! I just got sent another website and now this is almost the entire story. Thanks for the help! One night Michelle is supposed to meet some friends at Y2K. Her friends never show and once Danny sees her in the parking lot he is well and truly smitten. They dance and the connection is undeniable to both of them. Danny breaks one of his “rules” and brings Michelle back to his own house and takes her virginity and continues to make love to her all night. Michelle doesn’t realize that SanCorp isn’t the only side to the « Family business ». Michelle gets pregnant from this first time and now she is unsure what to do. Danny has no such problem. Although this version of Danny really loves Michelle, he never fully gets out of the business and never gets over his over possessiveness. He’s going to control things so Michelle and he have the life he wants. Eventually Michelle softens him somewhat, but he’s always controlling. He’s willing to move mountains and manipulate anyone behind the scenes to achieve his ends. He’s planning a wedding in Puerto Rico, but he hasn’t told Michelle about it yet. He fully intends to woo her, but now there is a baby involved he intends to have her safely married first. There will be time to tell her what she’s really getting into after she’s fully committed.  Danny is close (too close) to Carmen, but for some reason calls her Carmen and not Mama. They eventually have 5 children and are together 50 years and the day Danny met Michelle was the day light came to the Santos family according to then Cardinal Ray. There is a ton of fun filled travel adventures and background in Puerto Rico during their early married life (which was used as the stand in for San Cristobel when it really looked like an island on the show, including their amazing house and pool, so is close to Mannyacs’s hearts). In an interesting tip of the hat, a supporting character is Paul Stewart, whose life closely mirrors PAS’s real life, except he meets Manny’s oldest daughter who had an equal age different between Paul and Joie and looks exactly like Michelle. They run off and get married. There is some religion, but less than I thought there would be based on the title. I should also warn you that for some reason “won’t” appears as “want” instead in all versions of the story. Followed by “Fair Winds and Following Seas”

“Moving On” (1 of 2 with this name) – Manny move to California and move into an empty house on Carmen’s brother’s Manny’s vineyard.

“Moving On” (1 of 2 with this name) – After Tony’s death and Danny’s decision to stay with Marina, Michelle moves into the light house. She makes friends with the newly arrived to town Jonathan Randall and tries to move on with her life, but neither she nor Danny is really over each other. What will it take to make Danny see the light? (Ch 3-4) (Ch 5-6) (Ch 7-8) (Ch 9-10) (Ch 11-12) (Ch 13-15) (Chapter 16)

“My Immortal” – Danny hasn’t felt alive since Pilar’s death, but when he hears Michelle Bauer sing at Millennium, he feels himself coming alive again. He goes after her and asks for a date, at first she refuses, she’s still trying to get over her abusive relationship with Jesse, but when he kisses her she feels safe for the first time since Jesse came into her life and she agrees. Danny doesn’t make the date, he’d been trying to make the business legitimate since Pilar’s death and Carmen finally has Bernado arrange a permanent solution to the problem. Michelle accidently finds Danny at Cedars and realizes why he didn’t come and she’s devastated when he dies. However, things aren’t always what they seem and it’s part of the plan. Danny can’t stay away from Michelle and after she discovers what’s going on and that he’s going to hide out in San Cristobel for awhile she insists on going with him. (Chapter 1) (Chapter 2) (Chapter 3) (Chapter 4) (Chapter 5) (Chapter 6) (Chapter 7) (Chapter 8) (Chapter 9) (Chapter 10) (Chapter 11)

“Name Game” – Danny and Michelle decide what to name their first baby, then comes the baby shower, and through it all what a great and devoted father to be Danny is.

“New Beginnings” (1 of 2 with this name) – Dr. Bradford got caught in the fallout for holding Michelle wrongly. She kidnapped and took her revenge on Ray. Manny moves out to California to a house Abuela left them. Sequel to “Sweet Revenge”

“No Matter What” – Sort of  a version of the 1000 Guns speech, but not as good.

“No Way Out” aka “Magistrate” ––  Wish I had more chapters of this. Michelle is an undercover cop, Danny is with Theresa, but passes up the invitation to sleep with them to go hunt for Michelle who he had just met yesterday and can’t get out of his head. The description of Reva is priceless. (Intro-Ch 1) (Chapter 2) (Chapter 3) (Ch 4-5)

“The Notorious Dizzy Steps” – A tribute to Alfred Hitchcock’s films, many of their motifs and plot points and just general Britishisms steep into this take where Danny is forced to fake his death to keep Michelle safe and she accidentally discovers him in Oxford living as a dean 10 years later. When she wakes up alone she must decide, was it a dream or was he really there? The flashbacks of their romance 10 years earlier are all AU, but really great. (Ch 1-3) (Chapter 4) (Chapter 6) (Chapter 7) (Chapter 8) (Chapter 9) (Chapter 10) (Chapter 11) (Chapter 12) (Chapter 14A) (Chapter 14B) (Chapter 15) (Chapter 16) (Chapter 20) (Conclusion) (Annotations)

“Now and Forever” – Ray gets Michelle to confess her feelings about Danny, unfortunately Jesse overhears and they break up. Danny doesn’t and Michelle goes chasing after him to tell him. She insists they have to talk and they randomly drive around in his car until a combination of a car problems and bad weather lead them to a hotel. Michelle convinces Danny she loves him, Danny confesses he slept with Drew and Michelle forgives him rather than lose him. They consummate the marriage, but the next day Rick convinces Danny he needs to let her go. (Chapter 1) (Chapter 2)  (Chapter 3)

“Of Saints and Sinners” – Ray is involved in some kind of long time plot. It isn’t against Danny, Ray is trying to protect Danny, but he thinks the knowledge of it would hurt and disappoint him. Michelle’s rambling thoughts suggest that perhaps Ray and Danny are brothers instead of cousins, but we don’t get that far in the story. Ray and Drew have strong feelings for one another, but don’t know how to deal with them. There is more than his vows as a priest and her involvement with Jesse keeping them apart. While I’m not sure on the timing, I think Manny have just consummated their marriage, for several hours, in the Bauer house, leaving some bruises and them both praying for a short day and a long night to do it all over again. Drew turns to Michelle to talk after finding a slip of paper Ray dropped that said, “Pray.” Michelle tells Drew she can come talk to her anytime, but after this first visit produces Michelle in a sheet and Danny in a pair of black silk boxers, she’s warned next time she might have to knock for a long time. (Prologue) (Chapter 1) (Chapter 2) (Chapter 3) (Chapter 4) (Chapter 5) (Chapter 6) (Chapter 7) (Chapter 8) (Chapter 9)

“On the Verge” – Michelle goes on a spring break with some friends and meets a tall dark handsome man, Tony Santos. She calls him to get together as friends and he thinks it’s romantic, but it’s his cousin Danny he brought along on the double date that lights Michelle’s fire, but can she pull off a cousin switch? (Ch 1-6) (Chapters also here)

“Once You’ve Loved Someone” – Danny’s anguished thoughts about the annulment meeting at Towers.

“One Flew Over the Santos Nest” – Pilar is certifiable and poisons Ben.

“One More Day” – Michelle is in the hospital when she learns they couldn’t save Danny from his injuries in the warehouse fire.

“One Night Only” – Michelle had broken away from a loveless engagement to Bill Lewis and had been stunned when the entire town, including her family took his side. She took refuge in Chicago where among other changes in her life she sets out to find a one night stand. She meets Danny Santos and while she resists it, One Night Only seems to take on the promise of many, many more. 😉

“One Simple Wish” – Set before Danny discovers Michelle killed Mick, Michelle wishes the Santos Family never came to Springfield, somehow her wish came true. (Chapter 1)

“One Word” – A POV from the foreman of the jury at Danny’s trial for Carmen’s murder.

“The Original Pathetic Fanfic” – During the annulment separation (I think, not entirely clear from the story and it’s pretty light hearted for anytime that they are almost getting divorced, but Danny doesn’t recognize a lot of her friends, so it must be pretty early on), Danny and Michelle go on a date, it has a great bit in a pool hall and the Bauer BBQ stuff is pretty terrific. (Chapter 2) (Chapter 5)

“Our Dance” – Michelle thinks back over the dances she’s shared with Danny.

“Painting Challenge: Perfect” aka “Perfect” – Early on in the fake marriage, Danny has hired an artist to paint Michelle for the Santos portrait gallery. They have a real conversation.

“Painting Challenge: Still Life” – Michelle and Danny have a paint fight that ends in a predictable way.

“Painting Challenge: The Talk” – A prequel to the scene where Danny tells Jesse to stay away from the wedding.

“The Park Bench” – Michelle never called the FBI, but when Danny decided they needed to get an annulment anyway, Michelle leaves town to go visit Bridget. He can’t make her sign the papers if he can’t find her. (Chapter 1)

“Passage of Time” – A Michelle POV when Danny buys her Orchid Manor.

“Picture of Hope and Love” – Manny discuss the situation with Eden August, Salerno, and 5th Street.

“Pilar Offers Some Advice” – Pilar’s suggestion to Michelle that they go to Disney World for their honeymoon doesn’t go so well. Apparently this version of Danny isn’t exactly Disney material.

“Planet Denial” – Danny and Michelle still have feelings for each other during the long dark, best forgotten amnesia year. (March 30) (A Continuation of the original story)

“Power of Love” – Michelle’s thoughts as she sits by Danny’s bedside after the warehouse fire.

“Present Now, Past for Another” – Ed returns and thinks Michelle is still 10. He freaks out when he sees her with fiance Danny. (Explanatory Note) (Chapter 1) (Chapter 2) (Chapter 3)

“Promises” Michelle starts feeling sick at the Bauer BBQ. It turns out she was poisoned. Danny is especially upset by it because when they take her into the hospital for tests, they also find out she is pregnant with their daughter. Danny stirs up trouble looking for who did with his mother and the families. However, for once Carmen and the families are innocent. It’s Pilar who’s decided Michelle has taken Danny away from his family and must be gotten rid of. (Ch 1-40) (Epilogue)

“Remember Me” – When she discovered Miguel’s affair, Carmen killed the girl, Christine and drove Miguel away, telling everyone he’d died. That had been years ago, now thanks to plastic surgery, he’s back as a new man Michael Alvarez. He’s glad his children are so happy and is thrilled that Danny is with Michelle, living in their new house and one month pregnant. First on his agenda is silencing the only man who knows the truth about him. Carmen is second on his hit list, but someone else might just take care of that for him. Then he could proceed to the 3rd thing on his list, making a new place for himself in his family’s lives.

“Remembering…” – An alternative version of what happened when Michelle slowly began to get her memory back after the shower scene.

“Resist” – Michelle fell in love with a handsome dark mobster…Nino Rivera. She doesn’t meet Danny until her wedding day, but even as a newlywed she feels his pull. Unfortunately she has already made her deal with the devil and things go from bad to worse when she discovers Nino is having an affair with Pilar Santos and then he rapes Michelle when she confronts him about it. Eventually Danny kills him to protect her from his attacks, but this Danny has much thicker emotional walls and he’s convinced himself it was all a game against Nino, until he learns a few years later that Michelle has had his son. He feels himself losing control for the first time in his life, but when he keeps refusing to let Michelle in even after they are married for the sake of their son, will he eventually admit his feelings or continue to resist? 😉 (Ch 1-2) (Chapter 3) (Chapter 5) (Ch 8-9) (Chapter 15) (Chapter 19) (Chapter 22) (Chapter 25) (Chapter 26)

“Resist: A Continuation” – Picks up at Chapter 28 (Ch 30-31) (Chapter 34) (Ch 35-36) (Ch 37-38) (Ch 39-40) (Ch 41-42) (Ch 44-45) (Ch 46-47)

“The Resonance of Noise” – The Mannifield Players, starring original Ray, do a parody of the Sound of Music, with just a little Thorn Birds for good measure. 😉 (Chapter 1) (Chapter 2) (Chapter 3) (Chapter 4)

“Retaliation/Revelation” – When Drew and original Ray are in pain and a bad place when they seek physical comfort from each other and then are under each other’s skin. Can they resist? Do they want to? 😉

“Return from the Dead” – Danny had to fake his death, but he couldn’t stand it and is trying to convince Michelle he is David Stewart and they can have a life together. I’m not sure if this is intentional or not, but David Stewart on ATWT developed amnesia and started a new life under a different name out of town. (Part 1) (Part 2&3) (Part 4&5) (Part 6) (Part 7)

“Revelation” Sequel to “Ray’s Journal”. Ray has a secret and now the journal that holds it has a new guardian. (Ch 1-2)

“Revisiting the Past” – Claire convinced Michelle to let her take over her life and join her in Chicago. At long last she makes a trip home to Springfield. Did she make the right choice? (Ch 6-7) (Ch 8-9) (Chapter 12) (Chapter 17)

“Revolving Doors” – Michelle gets Mick to the hospital after the attack, but he is in a coma. Danny doesn’t realize she was involved in the attack, but wants to get close to Michelle anyway. (;-) – Between Ray and Drew in the second 1/2 that is unavailable) (Ch 1-7)

“Right Kind of Wrong” – Danny kills somebody to save a strange girl’s life. It’s Michelle and the man he killed was in the mob, so they both have to leave town. Chapter 2 and he’s already given her an amazing kiss. This is definitely headed in the right direction. (Chapter 1) (Chapter 2)

Road Trip Fic (1 of 2 with this name) – After Michelle’s graduation, Manny takes an eccentric road trip, but a very interesting night is rewarded by a little girl 9 months later.

“Running Scared” – Michelle walks in on Jesse and Drew in bed and her reaction leads Jesse to kill himself. Both Drew and Michelle end up in Chicago where Michelle tries to pay back Drew by taking her new boyfriend away, unfortunately that would be obsessive Mick Santos. This time, his attack on Michelle is successful and almost kills her. Mick is killed by a third party and Michelle devastated by her physical and emotional wounds. When Danny comes to investigate Mick’s death he meets Michelle and quickly falls in love. Some great stuff with Danny as mob boss ordering things done. Lots of evil Drew. 😉

“Sacred Vows“ – Kind of a series of stories rather than one. Story 1: Great idea of Danny pretending to study to be a priest to gain time to avoid marrying Teresa, with the extra benefit of living with novice nun in training Michelle Bauer. Story 2: Part detective story- part adventure Manny prove that Teresa killed Mick and Danny wins the right to chose his own bride. Guess who he picks? Story 3: Great set piece about a fundraiser for Lizzie’s cancer foundation. Story 4: The wedding with a medical crisis hanging over Michelle, will it keep Michelle from saying “I Do.” Story 5: Michelle makes short work of an old friend who tries to make a move on Danny. Story 6 (Most of the story): Michelle’s pregnancy and the aftermath, with some great stuff following up on their 50th wedding anniversary. 😉

Danny in a priest outfit (Chapter 22) (Chapter 23) (Chapter 24) (Chapter 25) (Chapter 27) (Epilogue)

“Sanctuary” – Ray tells the story of how he joined the church after Danny’s father is shot down right in front of him and finds someone he fell in love with, the daughter of a “client”, Riley. (Ch 1-2) (Chapter 3) (Chapter 4) (Chapter 5) (Chapter 6) (Chapter 7) (Chapter 8) (Chapter 9)

“Saying Goodbye” – Danny’s thoughts while he takes care of Robbie and Michelle goes to the hospital for Ben Reade’s final crisis.

“Sex and the Married Woman” – Early on in the marriage, Michelle had suggested a courtship. Danny comes up with an idea for them to meet as “strangers” in a bar and see where it takes them. It takes them to a very steamy consummation scene. 😉

“Shades of Gray” – Danny thinks about his life during one of the tension filled times before their second divorce.

“Show Me the Way Back to Your Heart” – Danny and Michelle let their fears get the best of them and separate for a couple of weeks before facing their hurt and fears and finding their way back to each other.

“Solace and Sacrifice” – Danny’s teenage daughter discovers he’s alive, when she thought he was dead. (Chapter 6)

“Someone to Watch over Me” – Michelle is hired to be widower Danny’s nanny and then things really start to get strange. A nice depiction of how Manny would be (if they were ever together) during a pregnancy though and the FBI guys get in some pretty great lines (“That’s our boy Santos.” And “What’s he doing in there to make her make those noises?”) 😉 Click on Titles (Chapter 1) (Ch 1-9) (Ch 10-16) (Ch 17-23) (Ch 24-28)

“Something to Believe In” – Danny’s life has been destroyed. A bomb meant for him has killed the love of his life, his reason for struggling to get out of the “family business.” It was of course…Caitlyn. He crawls into a bottle and doesn’t come out until Ray and Bernardo decide to take action and commit him to a treatment center. His first day there he meets a former patient, now office assistant, Michelle Bauer. Her abusive former boyfriend Derek is continuing to harass her. Danny jumps to her defense and while he is torn for awhile whether this is fair to Caitlyn who lost her life because of him, he can’t deny that Michelle makes him feel alive again and that she is his heart and his soul. A great nonjudgmental Michelle.  😉 Chapters also available on this board.

“Sometimes Love Just Ain’t Enough” – Michelle is fighting her feelings for Danny during the early days of their marriage, but it’s a fight she’s quickly losing. When she goes with him on a trip to Spain to meet some of the extended family, she finds them charming, especially how Danny is with his 2 year old cousin. The very first night there Michelle completely loses her battle and after a little work to convince Danny she really means it, they begin to make up for lost time like only they can. 😉 (Chapter 1) (Chapter 2) (Chapter 3) (Chapter 4) (Chapter 5) (Chapter 6) (Chapter 7) (Chapter 8) (Chapter 9) (Chapter 10) (Chapter 11) (Chapter 12) (Chapter 13) (Chapter 14) (Chapter 15)

“Special Occasion” – Manny met at college, but knowing he’d be forced to go into the family business, Danny kept their relationship at friendship and let her go when she went off to med school. Years later Michelle’s life is complete except for love. This is another story that has her with Bill Lewis more out of habit than desire. Mick is shot and in desperation Danny calls on Michelle for a favor. They were able to resist each other once, but in the intensity of the moment, will they be able to resist again? What do you think? It is Manny. David Grant, Drew and Mick are involved in the drug trade and Bill Lewis is the mastermind. 😉

“Straight Through The Heart-The Cupid Fic” – The literal Cupid is sent to help Manny find each other, but finds nothing but troubles and frustrations in his path (like any Manny fan). (Chapter 8) (Chapter 11)

“Sunset Beach” – While Pharley are having issues, Harley has an affair with Ray in San Cristobel and can’t stop thinking about and reacting to it (apparently he couldn’t either) and Phillip is again growing closer to the Spaulding family and Beth. Phillip comes off very badly in certain, um, martial areas in this fanfic, it makes you wonder how he had all those kids. Ray comes off VERY well in those same martial areas. Cassie also wants Ray and is trying to force a friendship with Michelle to get him. It has a nice long Cassie is awful section and some nice Manny cameos: “Danny, you’ve got to let me get off the phone before you start doing that.” 😉 (Chapter 2) (Chapter 3) (Chapter 4)

“Surfacing” – Drew kills somebody and Ray protects her.  Drew flashes back on her search for her father, Michelle is pregnant and a very different Ben Reade and Marah meet at Millennium New Year’s 2002. Dehlia has an interesting subplot about stereotypes and Jesse’s heart transplant is failing. Andy Reardon (Jim’s son) is in Springfield, helping Fletcher run the Springfield Journal which he bought back from Holly when he returned to town. Trish Lewis is back in town and has bought the Jessup Farm. (I miss Trish.) Some nice stuff about how Manny are as a couple. I particularly like when Rick gives Danny a hard time for falling asleep while waiting in the hospital that Danny tells him, maybe he wouldn’t if Rick’s sister ever let him have a full night’s sleep. Classic. Warning: Jesse dies tragically on camera. (Chapter 1) (Chapter 1 – 2nd link) (Chapter 2) (Chapter 4) (Chapter 5) (Chapter 6) (Chapter 7) (Chapter 8) (Chapter 9) (Chapter 10) (Chapter 11)

“Sweet Revenge” – Dr. Bradford gets revenge on Ray. Followed by “New Beginnings (1 of 2 with that name)

“Sweet Sixteen” – On Ray’s 16th birthday, Carmen announces that his family duty is that enter the priesthood, whether he likes it or not.

“Taking Flight” – Manny has an interesting normal conversation on a plane before Danny decides that they need to renew their membership in the Mile High Club. 😉

“Talk on a Bench” – Danny is feeling responsible for all the dark in Michelle’s life one night, but when she joins him on the bench, she explains how much light he brought into her life.

“Tequila Romance”– Michelle and Danny meet at Millennium over a bad pick up line and a deliberately spilled drink 5 months after Jesse returned to Springfield from New York, but only to reclaim Michelle’s engagement ring in order to give it to another girl. At first Danny is only interested in getting her in bed, but quickly his feelings deepen and he refuses to take advantage of her. Danny finally succumbs to her desire to “party” they both get drunk and get married and once they are Danny has no intention of every letting her go. An ongoing theme is that he refuses to tell her his last name until she reads it on the marriage license. I really like this story. Sorry it ends where it does and I hope to someday find more. (Chapter 1) (Chapter 2) (Chapter 4) (Chapter 5) (Chapter 6) (Chapter 7)

“A Terrifying Scenario” – A humorous speculation on what it would have been like if Michelle had gone with Pilar down to San Cristobel as Danny suggested.

“That One Night” aka “That Night”– On the night that she learns her father died, during the early days of the first Manny marriage, Danny admits her feelings to Danny to herself and turns to him for comfort. Unfortunately a series a misunderstandings follows that leads to their getting divorced, but when Danny finds her again and realizes she’s carrying his child AND more importantly WANTS to be, he swears he’ll never be separated from her again. Too bad he’s just caved to Carmen’s pressure and married Teresa.

“Third Time’s a Charm” – Miguel is alive and working with Danny. Carmen tried to do something to Michelle on Manny’s wedding night. Danny and Miguel arrive at Casa Santos looking for Carmen to get revenge, but she’s already left quickly on Michelle’s track. Michelle is pregnant. (Chapter 15) (Chapter 16) (Ch 17-18)

“Ties That Bind” – Mick gets out of prison and claims he’s a changed man. Danny still feels the guilt of failing to be able to help him and invites him into their home. Eventually Mick is involved in kidnapping their son Justin and then, while saving Mick’s life, Danny is shot and Michelle has a high risk pregnancy and they still have to emotionally deal with everything that’s happened to them. A great inside joke is that the doctor, the man charged with keeping Danny alive is named, wait for it, Paul Stewart. 😉 (Chapter 21) (Chapter 22) (Chapter 23) (Chapter 24) (Chapter 25) (Chapter 26) (Chapter 27) (Chapter 28) (Chapter 29) (Chapter 30) (Epilogue)

“Till Death Do Us Part” – Danny was unable to get out of the family business, but was able to protect his family life from it. Finally one of Carmen’s deals gets him killed, Michelle makes a visit home to Springfield, visiting all the  old places and feeling Danny always with her. Pilar and Bill have married with an almost grown daughter Vanessa and Manny have a son named Ray who sees through Carmen’s schemes and is about to enter law school.

“Time and Again” – Michelle’s husband was trying to legitimize the “family business,” but Mick Sierra was killed before he could complete the job. Michelle stepped into the void, with the help of her husband’s right hand Dietz, took over the business and legitimized it with her long time friend Bill Lewis. Now the Santos family, headed by Danny after his older brother Nino Santos’s death, was making a move on her business. Michelle takes a meeting with Danny to tell him to back off and they are both… surprised. (Ch 1-3)

“Timing is Everything” – Danny is a tad over prepared as well as over protective during Michelle’s first pregnancy in the Laurel Falls house.

“Together” – This is an alternative version of how Michelle got Danny back during her pregnancy with Robbie. (Part 1) (Part 4)

“Truth Comes Out” – An alternative version of the time Michelle was dating Bill after divorce 2. Bill is an abuser and wanted Pilar to abort their child, but she didn’t. (Part 1) (Part 5)

“Unable” – Set during their “fake” marriage, Manny longs to reach out to each other, but are stopped by their own fears.

“Unfinished Business” – A sequel to “Buon Giorno, My Love” with Robbie’s name corrected. (Part 1) (Part 2)

“Unforeseen Circumstances” – Sequel to “Mistaken Identity” – Danny faked his death to keep Michelle safe and entered the Witness Protection Program. He became Alex Perez, Investment Counselor. Then one day fate threw Michelle into his path and he stuck to his story to keep her safe, but they spent the night together anyway. Now Michelle has discovered she’s pregnant and has to tell “Alex” he’s going to be a father. What will Danny do? (Ch 3-4)

“Unforgiven” – Michelle and Danny are having a little trouble readjusting to life after Vanessa clears Michelle of Ben’s murder and Carmen is arrested for framing Michelle among other things. Danny is pulled in to keep things going temporarily and then out of the blue he gets a letter telling him that Mick is really alive and now out to get them all. Will this change anything for Manny? (Chapter 1) (Chapter 5) (Chapter 8)

“Unlikely Hero” – Tony story (Chapter 7) (Ch 8-11) (Chapter 9) (Chapter 12)

“Unspoken Words” – A grownup Robbie Santos has just returned to town after almost a year. Manny are concerned that something is going on with him, but they are not sure what. He is best friend’s with Pharley’s daughter Hailey, but perhaps part of his problem is that they may want it to be more. Manny had broken free of the mob and helped destroy it, but gang activity has returned to Springfield and police officer Hailey is investigating it. (Introduction) (Chapter 1) (Chapter 2) (Chapter 3) (Chapter 4) (Chapter 5)

“A Very Good Man”
– POV of an alternative child born to Manny instead of Robbie. Danny was killed in a hit shortly before he could complete the Internet Deal and safely return home. When their son turns 14, Michelle tells him the story of his father’s life and reinforces for him that his father was a very good man.

“Vision of Love” – Michelle divorces Danny for the first time and moves to California to go to medical school and become an eye doctor. After she arrives there, she realizes she’s pregnant with Danny’s child, but doesn’t tell him. One day a John Doe comes in and she recognizes Danny. She doesn’t tell him who she is, but he figures it out and instinctively recognizes their daughter, but he still has to survive the dangerous, experimental operation that may or may not restore his vision. The second half has them confronting the issues that caused the breakdown in their marriage through conversation and love. 😉
If you have troubles chapters also available on this board.

“Waking Up” – Carmen wakes up in prison from her coma induced by her struggle with Bill Lewis on New Year’s Eve. She’s now physically fine, but suffering from amnesia. She can’t remember anything since a month after Miguel’s funeral. (Part 1) (Part 2) (Part 3) (Part 4)

“Was it Worth it?” – Michelle has been cleared of Ben Warren’s murder, but Drew still is resentful of her. Danny and Michelle go to Millennium and Michelle tries to make amends. They argue and Drew ends up knocking a pregnant Michelle down the stairs. The baby is ok, but it’s the last straw and Michelle is through with her. Danny finds out that Drew was involved in Mick’s death and gets her to take the entire blame to Carmen. Freeing Michelle from her vendetta, but leaving a Drew who Jesse has just dumped in disgust on the hook. (Ch 1-5) (Ch 6 -9b) (Ch 10 -13b)

NOTE: This is an incomplete version, Carmen’s revenge is in the final chapter.

“The Way We Are” – In a close to the real world AU, Michelle is working at the hospital when she discovers Mick’s autopsy and that it reports he committed suicide. When the news is revealed, both Danny and Michelle are concerned that the fact that it was a lie that drove them together will change the way they are now. However, their love is too strong for that as they face down the truth together. The couple scenes in this one are great. It’s wonderful idea that Danny is now legit and running The Springfield Journal (why didn’t TPTB think of that, they mined story for Fletcher that way for years) and I liked the touch of Mick’s stalker file on Michelle being found. The strangest twist is revealed at the end. Danny is Roger Thorpe’s son. (Ch1-2) (Ch 3-4) (Ch 5-7) (Chapter 8) (Chapter 10) (Chapter 11) (Chapter 16) (Chapter 21)

“The Way We Were” – a revised version of the Way We Are. Manny is living in Reva Bend. Michelle is a doctor at Cedars. Danny is running the Springfield Journal. Ben Warren was never murdered and Sean McCullough shows up in a most unexpected place. Edmund is dead, killed when it was revealed that he had given Jonathan over to a baby smuggling ring, but Carmen’s part in it wasn’t revealed until now. She will have to deal with not only Reva, but the reigning monarchs of San Cristobel, Prince Richard and Princess Oliva. Danny finds Mick’s stalker file on Michelle. There are great scenes of how their happy married life is. (Ch 1-2) (Ch 3-4) (Ch 5-7) (Chapter 8) (Chapter 9) (Chapter 10) (Chapter 11) (Chapter 12) (Chapter 13) (Chapter 14) (Chapter 15) (Chapter 16) (Chapter 17)

“The Wedding” – It’s Hope Santo’s wedding day and she’s letting a little bit too much Carmen/Pilar come out in her personality. The whole Santos family including Mick and his wife show up. (Ch 1)

“Wedding Night” – Michelle realized she could never talk to the FBI again after her wedding night and now two weeks later, she overhears Danny tell his Abuela la that he loved her. When he gets home that night he finds Michelle once again dressed in her wedding slip and recreating the wedding night with a very different ending. This was pretty much what I thought their first night home from the San Cristobel honeymoon should have been like. 😉

“A Wedding Surprise” – Michelle meets Danny’s grandmother who helps her start to sort out her feelings for Danny a few days before the church wedding.

“A Welcomed Visitor” – Michelle, Pilar’s best friend, is going to be staying with the Santos Family the summer of her 19th year because she can’t stand her mother Claire since she and her then boyfriend Jesse Blue talked her into getting an abortion 3 years before. Michelle started to act out, getting tattoos and going to raves. Electric sparks fly between her and Danny and by the end of the night they are together first in a limo and then in her bed. Danny asks for Ed’s permission to marry Michelle which Ed willing gives even though Claire hates Danny. A lie of Drew’s causes Michelle to doubt Danny ultimately leading to her being hit by a car. A new threat emerges just as the story ends. Lots and lots of implied sex, but no details. (Chapter 1) (Chapter 2) (Chapter 3) (Chapter 3) (Chapter 4) (Chapter 5) (Chapter 6) (Chapter 7) (Chapter 8) (Chapter 9) (Chapter 10) (Chapter 11) (Chapter 12)

“We’re Goin’ To Majorca Baby!” – Michelle, Danny, Buzz, and Selena set up sting to catch a very much alive Mick who is hiding out in Spain, but will Danny be able to fool his own brother? (Chapter 1) (Chapter 2) (Chapter 5) (Chapter 6)

“What Dreams May Come” – Danny realizes that many people he loved and trusted conspired to kill Carmen and break up his marriage. Danny is literally sickened by the thought and thrown into a combination of physical and psychological symptoms. He desperately clings to her pillow with the scent of Michelle still on it. He almost dies until Michelle comes for him, out of his dreams and back into his life. (Part 1) (Part 2) (Part 3) (Part 4) (Part 5)

“X’s and O’s” – Nino has Michelle and it’s Danny, Ray, and an old college friend of Danny’s named Ashley to the rescue. Actually Manny seems to make more of series of cameo appearances rather than having a real role in this one. It really is a Ray and, if you can believe it, Father Tomas fic. Its two focuses are: 1) Have Ray fall in love and leave the priesthood 2) Show that being a good person and Christian is compatible with using the Internet and Hard Metal music. Ashley also says Yipee a lot, an awful lot. 😉 (Chapter 1) (Ch 2-3) (Chapter 4) (Chapter 5) (Chapter 6) (Chapter 9) (Chapter 10) (Chapter 14) (Chapter 15) (Chapter 16) (Chapter 17 – Conclusion)

“Yesterday’s Tears” – Pilar is truly psycho in this one. If you like her, skip it. Michelle moves away after the night in Pilar’s room at the boarding house. She realizes she’s made a mistake, but when her letter asking if he wants her back is returned, she gives up and tries to bury herself in her work. She never returned to Springfield until she graduated from med school. She was never told that Danny was horribly injured in an explosion shortly after she left and constantly asked for her. She returns home and finds him partially recovered, but a broken man. She now knows leaving was wrong and this time she is going to fight for him, even if it means letting him get revenge on her. 😉 (Chapter 9) (Ch 10-11) (Chapter 13) (Chapter 16) (Ch 19-20) (Chapter 22) (Chapter 26) (Chapter 29) (Chapter 30) (Chapter 32) (Chapter 33) (Chapter 36) (Chapter 37)

“You Get Angry” – Michelle has enough and has it out with Ed and Rick when they are still pushing her at Bill after Danny sends her the locket.

“Your Memory Lingers Here” – An alternative version of what happens after Michelle recovers her memory where Tony was an even bigger creep than he turned into on the show. Tony was paid by Carmen to lure Michelle to the warehouse that night. He threatened Michelle to get her to sleep with him when he had Danny set up to walk in and catch him. Manny find their way back to each other. 😉 (Chapter 6) (Chapter 7) (Chapter 8) (Chapter 9) (Chapter 10) (End)
