Lawrence Saint-Victor on Guiding Light

A reminiscence by Lawrence Saint-Victor of his time on Guiding Light. Saint-Victor was Remy Boudreau part of one of the last great couples formed on Guiding Light with Karla Mosley as Christina. Today he recurrs as Carter Walton, a lawyer and current favorite for preforming weddings on The Bold and the Beautiful where Mosley also landed after the light faded.

This September will mark seven years since Guiding Light left the airwaves, but it still holds a dear place in Lawrence Saint-Victor‘s (Remy) heart.

“It was very special,” he beams. “I didn’t know what it was like to be on a soap before that show. I didn’t know what the producers were going through at the time I joined [in 2006], but I guess they had kind of been on the cutting block for awhile, as far as the show could go off the air at any time. I suppose that’s why they came up with the new format [of shooting outdoors in Peapack, NJ], which reallly created such togetherness among the cast. It was an atmosphere of, “No matter what happens, we’re in it together.”

We also got to head down to Mississippi and worked together building homes for the homeless and then shot it as an episode. For me, it was an incredible family. We were the underdogs. When we were canceled, we still had a few more months of shooting, which just upped the warmith even more. There was so much love there. I have such great memories of Guiding Light.
