My Grandmother’s Mac and Cheese

1 8-10 oz. bag of shredded cheddar cheeses

  1. Boil the macaroni.
  2. Drain it.
  3. Saute the onion in a pan, then lower the flame. Add butter and flour and pour milk in slowly while stirring until mixture thickens.
  4. Turn off the fire and slowly stir in cheese.
  5. Place the macaroni in a large baking dish, then stir the cheese mixture in. Be sure to spread it evenly.
  6. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  7. Cover the baking dish with foil, and place the baking dish in the oven for 30 minutes.
  8. For the last 5 minutes, take the foil off so it browns on top.
