The February 1, 2016 issue of Soap Opera Digest spells out their “50 Unforgettable Soap Moments”. Strangely it only lists one moment from Guiding Light, the first Reva in the fountain scene.

Jordi Vilasuso (Tony Santos #1) discusses his new Days of Our Lives role in the Feb. 22, 2016 issue of Soap Opera Digest.

In the February 15, 2016 issue of Soap Opera Digest recaps the year in soaps of 1980. On Guiding Light Lisa Brown (Nola Reardon Chamberlain), John Wesley Shipp (Kelly Nelson), Kevin Bacon (T.J. Werner #2), and Kristin Vigard (Morgan Richards), arrived as a new crop of young people. Both the Reardon and Chamberlain families were established. Michael Zaslow (Roger Thorpe) fell off a cliff and Maureen Garrett (Holly Norris Thorpe) soon followed his exit. Other long lasting story point were Hope Bauer and Alan Spaulding marrying and Justin Marler discovered that Phillip Spaulding was his biological son.

The flashback quotes in the February 22, 2016 issue of Soap Opera Digest include Judi Evans (Beth Raines #1). She was talking about the prom in the July 7, 1992 issue of Soap Opera Digest.
“I think the day we did the prom was my longest day. We worked from 7 am to 4 am. They did the whole crowning of the Prom Queen, and that was really neat. It was emotional and sweet, and I was never asked to prom, so it was sort of like going to one.”

Rebecca Budig (Michelle Bauer #3, part of the Messe pairing) is featured in a roundup of fitness tips from soap stars. Find it in the February 15, 2016 issue of Soap Opera Digest.

Emme Rylan (Lizzie Spaulding Lewis #6, part of the wonderful Bizzie pairing) sells homemade items including jewelry on Etsy. Find her store:

Laura Bell Bundy (Marah Lewis #5, the one who started Marony) appeared in a Lifetime Christmas movie where the heroine brings her boyfriend home only for him to discover that if he marries her he will become Santa Clause. The movie is called Becoming Santa. Find out more about it here (be sure to check out the music video). Read a little bit more in the December 14, 2015 issue of Soap Opera Digest.

The Alan-Michael, Eleni, Frank triangle got out a shout out in round up of people who had been fooled into thinking their significant other cheated. (Alan-Michael paid Musette to say she slept with Frank.) Catch a few more details and a photo in the February 22, 2016 issue of Soap Opera Digest.

John Wesley Shipp (Kelly Nelson, part of my beloved Kelly and Morgan) reported on Twitter @JohnWesleyShipp is going to be making an appearence at Philadelphia Comic Con in April 2016.

Scott Bailey (Sandy Foster, who started with the Mole puppet & then was falsely revealed to be Jonathan Randall) and his wife Adrienne Frantz (Amber Moore Forrester on The Bold and the Beautiful) had a bit of a scare when their baby broke her rib sending Frantz to the hospital. Read about it in the December 14, 2015 issue of Soap Opera Digest. The baby girl, Amelie Irene, was born December 1, 2015. Read more about it here:
