National Lighthouse Day August 7th

There are many dates that Guiding Light fans celebrate during the year. There is the anniversary of the beginning of Guiding Light, Irma Phillips birthday, the sad days of cancellation announcement and the final episode, but one that I think should be included is National Lighthouse Day which happens every August 7th. It’s intended to celebrate real lighthouses that help keep the seas and major lakes safe, but I think Guiding Light fans can claim it as our own.

Be sure to look for all the lighthouses that will show up over social media and try to identify the ones that most look like the lighthouses used on Guiding Light.

Here at GLManny we have made it an annual celebration since 2012. Check out my previous Lighthouse Day posts here:

Robansuefarm is the handle of one of Manny and Guiding Light‘s biggest fans following in her family’s footsteps of Guiding Light fandom since 1939. This blog is an effort to make it easy to find Guiding Light and especially Manny online. Check back here for her blog, find fanfic previews and fake WSPR newscasts on her YouTube, find podcasts that look back to old shows and audios of her fanfics on Blog Talk Radio, and finally follow her on Twitter and Facebook.
