Manny Theme Song: Sometimes Lovers, Always Friends

Danny and Michelle SmilingMany things changed as we moved from the Stenz version of Manny to the Stalban version. One of the most obvious of these was the theme song. During the Stenz version the Manny theme was an instrumental only short piece that seems to have been written for them.

It’s the background music during their Third Wedding at Laurel Falls:

It’s still used up to part of their fourth wedding, but when they have their first dance at that wedding it’s to their new theme “Sometimes Lovers, Always Friends.” They will later change the vocals to Paul Anthony Stewart (Danny Santos) and Nancy St. Alban (Michelle Bauer Santos) singing themselves.

Here’s the wedding dance (roughly 4 minutes in):

And here’s the song with the Stewart-St. Alban vocal done as a Manny music video (the sound level is very low at the beginning, but comes back up a little while in so stick with it):

Updated January 18, 2017: I made a couple of small edits for clarity and changed.the straight links with embedded videos.
