I’ve Gone Back to Duz

If you listen to the old Guiding Light radio episodes available on Internet Archive or through Old Time Radio, you will hear plenty about Guiding Light‘s sponsoring product Duz soap. Tide, the first detergent or as Duz called it “No Rinse Chemicals” had come out and swamped the market. Many soaps (the cleaning product) disappeared in the first wave of Tide’s attack, but Duz hung on for decades as an alternative stressing how safe it was for hands. Ironically both Tide and Duz were Proctor and Gamble products.
