Stephen Colbert’s take on Guiding Light

Stephen Colbert recently did a bit on soap operas. He started off with a Season 1 set of Guiding Light. It’s a little too close to the bone for us. I know way too many people who would give a lot to get the “season set” if it was real. (However, if it really was season 1 – a full calendar year of 15 minutes episodes it would only be 65 hours.)

The second half is a pretty funny take off on the recent product placement fuss with two additional Days of Our Lives clips that I hadn’t seen before.

Read more about product placement here:

UPDATED March 12, 2016: I added the signature block and the image and double-checked the links to make sure they worked.

Remember when Colbert almost offered us a “Guiding Light” season 1 boxset?
