Probably this will be the last Lighthouse collection post for awhile. This is pretty much my collection, unless you want to see photos of my other Guiding Light, non-lighthouse shirts. When I find an addition I’ll do another post. And go back to the post number 8 and watch the lighthouse video if you haven’t. The light really spins around in the video. Too cool.
This top photo was a Christmas present to myself last year. A lot of people had issues with the “Hands” opening of Guiding Light. I didn’t really like that part, but I DID like that it renewed use of a poem apparently heavily used (without credit even though it wasn’t Irna Phillips who wrote it) in the early years on the show. So when I found this on CafePress, I was helpless to resist getting one for myself and my cousin Jewelsam. I actually went on a little quest to find out more about this poem. To read more about the poem and what I found start here:

The second photo is a set of stamps that I recently got. I haven’t gotten them framed yet as you can see, but eventually that will get done. This is number 5 in the series of Gulf Coast Lighthouses, but maybe there is hope for me yet because I think this one will do me. I think the one in the middle of the top row looks the most like Springfield’s lighthouse.
As I posted before that I’m now an admitted lighthouse collector. See my original post here:

Happy GL radio Anniversary to you! Do you know what lighthouse is represented in the picture middle top row?
PS no idea on the original Blake wedding dress from the 1994 Bloss wedding. My guess is it got donated, but I am not 100% sure. I do remember that LK wore it a second time for that 50 Years of Soaps show from those days.

Happy anniversary to you too! Maybe we should start work to make it a national holiday?
Yes, the stamp says which lighthouse it is, but to tell you the truth, I didn’t look. I knew it wasn’t the same as the other 2 lighthouses I’ve seen that look pretty close to Springfield’s because they aren’t on the Gulf Coast. The thing I think is interesting is I’ve bought 2 different items (based only on my look like Springfield’s criteria) that both are modeled on the Portland, ME lighthouse. I’ll check though and get back to you.
